Description: |
| Supervise and manage all laboratory personnel and operations for CPI’s Advanced High Voltage Battery Laboratory. Stay current and educated on relevant rules and regulations dealing with high voltage battery laboratory equipment, measurement techniques, and related health and safety procedures and equipment. Coordinate with other department leaders to assess their current & future laboratory needs. Determine equipment purchase priorities based on budget allowances, condition of existing equipment, and scheduled laboratory activities. Assist with the coordination of purchased (outside) testing services. Develop and maintain a comprehensive quality assurance and quality control program for the laboratory. |
Duties: |
1. Develop a comprehensive lab operations program using A2LA or comparable guidelines as required.
2. Maintain all lab records, computer spreadsheets, databases and word documents
3. Ensure that lab personnel have the proper training & guidance to perform their duties.
4. Act as Laboratory Approving authority for all test plans and procedures for tests that are to be conducted in the Advanced Development Laboratory
5. Ensure recorded data is sufficiently detailed and accurate; perform periodic audits of test reports to ensure conformance to test plans and procedures.

Qualifications: |
• Four Year Bachelor of Science or similar degree
• 5 years minimum experience in laboratory supervisory or management role
• 2 years minimum experience in high-voltage, high power cycling equipment (e.g., Aerovironment, Bitrode, Arbin)
• Working experience with the following measurement and testing equipment:
i. Mechanical Vibration and Shock Tables
ii. Thermal Cycling Chambers
iii. Fluid flow and pressure measurement
iv. Voltage, current and power measurement
v. Yokogawa data acquisition equipment
