The Equal Employment Opportunity Analyst will support the Mission of the Wayne County Department of Personnel/Human Resources to foster a safe, productive, working environment free of discrimination, harassment, and/or retaliatory practices, through training, guidance, support and advocacy services; whereby, allowing the delivery of effective, efficient and high quality services to the public.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Investigate and prepare reports regarding internal and external EEO complaints
    • Attend special conferences with Union Representatives, Departmental Representatives, and Labor Relations Analyst regarding Harassment and Discrimination complaints
    • Manages employee complaint processing and related reporting
    • Review all harassment and discrimination training and postings
    • Reply to requests for additional information from EEOC and MDCR
    • Review complaints and reports of investigation submitted by Departmental Representatives to ensure compliance with EEO laws and thoroughness
    • Recommend resolutions between management, complainants, EEOC, andMDCR
    • Provide counseling to employees
    • Advise managers and employees regarding EEO Laws, Personnel Polices, and Collective Bargaining Agreements.


  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university
  • Three (3) years of full time paid Human Resources experience or three years of experience investigating harassment and discrimination complaints.
