The Wayne County Office of Legislative Auditor General is seeking to fill a Senior  Auditor position. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 3-5 years of audit experience with a CPA firm (including internships), internal audit department (government preferred), or equivalent classroom training in internal audit operations. CIA, CPA, MBA desirable.  The candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. The ideal candidate also must have knowledge of specialized software packages such as ACL and Teammate. 


The candidate must possess a Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or other related area of study. The candidate must be results oriented.  The primary responsibilities of the position are to survey operations, functions, and activities to determine the adequacy of the system of internal controls to achieve established/defined business objectives and performance measures. In addition, the candidate will assist in performing preliminary surveys, preparing audit/work programs, perform work program procedures, drafting formal audit reports, and make oral or written presentations to management and the audit committee.  Other responsibilities include assisting the Auditor General in assessing entity-wide risk.
