A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university with a major in Nutrition or Dietetics; AND
Registered as a Dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics: AND
Registered with the Commission of Dietetic Registration; AND
Three (3) years full-time experience with the WIC program, providing nutrition assessments, patient education and counseling.
NOTE: Management experience is preferred.
DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR JOB DUTIES:
The WIC Manager plans and collaborates Public Health Nutrition and Wellness programs, provides supportive oversight for the employees who administer nutrition program services, assures implementation of policies and adheres to the standard guidelines of the WIC Program, assists with the development of local agency operating procedures and protocols adhering to the standards of the WIC Program. This position provides onsite quality checks/site reviews for compliance with program standards; assures that policies are adhered to for meeting accreditation guidelines by all WIC staff; completes and maintains written and electronic reports adhering to internal guidelines/deadlines and initiates in-services, while providing individual and or group training and retraining when necessary. The WIC Manager also updates internal management evaluation tools based on internal and external reviews; analyzes productivity data and provide recommendations; updates referral information for nutritional, health, social, or psychological services as necessary; develops and updates educational materials for use by participants utilizing the principles of cultural diversity and performs other related duties as assigned.
