To lead the Multimedia department to meet the challenge of building the best infotainment system for customers

Key Responsibilities

  •      Works closely with Management to clarify customer software integration, verification testing, and requirements for software features
  •      Ensures on time support for design, development and delivery activities and interfacing with sales, customers, other engineering organizations
  •      Collaborates and coordinates with, supplier engineering, quality and the counterparts in Korea or other off-shore engineering organizations.
  •      Directs engineering staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees
  •      Supervises Sr Managers and managers through coaching, planning, monitoring, and appraising of job performance
  •      Establishes processes for integration, verification testing, requirements engineering and management
  •      Provides leadership to programs to ensure deliverables are met on time, within budget and meeting customer requirements and expectations.
  •      Interfaces with customers both internal and external to ascertain customer satisfaction and takes appropriate action to ensure customer satisfaction relative to group performance.
  •      Maintains engineering standards by establishing and maintaining policies on software design standards.
  •      Coordinates introduction of new technologies from the advanced development or systems departments into new product designs.
  •      Continuously investigates new technology opportunities and plans for evaluation and integration into product designs.
  •      Ensures appropriate design tools and computer hardware are available, maintained, and capable of operation at the highest efficiency.
  •      Participates in proposal preparation to customer requests and other sales opportunities that may arise.
  •      Coordinates resource allocation with other departments
  •      Works on annual department budget, head count and other administrative duties.
  •      Work with vendors to guide the prototype and serial production of new designs to reduce cost, and enhance performance.
  •      Coordinates other departments in order to improve overall solution with focus on meeting customer requirements and expectations.
  •      Interfaces with high level external customers to communicate and manage software issues
  •      Responsible to deliver quality software/systems on time and within budget

  •     Conduct employee reviews and hire talented employees.

Experience Level

  • Experience with OEM vehicle development projects from start to production.

Educational Requirement

  •     BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
  •     20+ years of related technical experience
  •     10 years of management/leadership experience     

Required Skills
    Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interface with peers and OEM customers

Travel Requirements
    Willingness to travel up to 30%
