Position is responsible for Electronic Braking System Products and Systems, supporting OEM Applications in the North American region

  1. System Application Engineering Electric Parking Brake functional development:
    - Lead and conduct customer level functional requirement analysis
    - Conduct system level and vehicle level performance tests
    - Perform parameter calibration, modification
    - Lead/execute software quality review/open issue follow-up during development phase
    - Conduct validation testing and verification of control software
  2. Software Engineer Electric Parking Brake Software Development:
    - Lead and conduct customer specific software development
    - Lead and conduct model based software development/software coding
    - Provide comprehensive support for system applications engineering role, in addition to customer
    - Lead and conduct laboratory tests for software unit and integration testing
    - Lead and conduct customer level presentations and technical reviews re: software engineering on behalf of Mobis
  3. System Safety Engineer Electric Parking Brake functional safety development:
    - Lead and conduct level safety analysis (FMEA/FTA/DFA)
    - Comprehend and lead execution of functional/technical safety requirement(s) for electric parking brake applications
    - Lead and execute interface and coordination between Mobis-Korea and North American OEMs in connection with functional safety development
    - Provide comprehensive support for systems applications engineering role, in addition to software development engineer role
    - Systems Safety role is dependent on the background and experience of the candidate



  • BS/MS in Software, Computer, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • 1-3 years in brake control system development, 3-5 years in embedded software development, 5+ years in functional safety environment (optional)
  • 10-20% for business trips, domestic and abroad


- C/C++ language programming experience for embedded systems in Automotive or a similar industry


- Experience in Graphical User Interface development preferably using Matlab

- Experience with Vector Tools (CANape) and CAN protocol

- Embedded systems development, including configuration management tools

- Experience with electric motors (design, control, testing, modeling, etc.)

- Good problem finding and solving ability

- Good interpersonal skills


- Knowledge of ANSI C/MISRA rules for coding standards
