For this, the new researchers will collaborate with and lead R&D center of HQ country in the area of their expertise are welcome to set up the manpower under their command.

MOBIS North America R&D Center in Farmington Hills MI, a branch of Hyundai MOBIS R&D Div., is looking for experienced Engineers, who are eager to join a rapidly expanding company. Current R&D center in Farmington Hills will be relocated to new building in Plymouth MI, during 3Q of 2015. Working as a Project Engineer, supporting a major OEM's automotive projects, the position has wide scope across NA Branch and company headquarters (HQ) in Korea.


Job Description

  • Need to with on vehicle electrical systems, CAN communications and architectures
  • Will need to learn testing automotive CAN and LIN buses for  FCA or GM
  • Working knowledge of software development processes.
  • Need to learn CAN Diagnostic Tools and Simulation Equipment.
  • Ability to read schematics and debug analog and digital hardware.
  • Able to use oscilloscope and logic analyzer for troubleshooting.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated, goal oriented, strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis
  • Support OEM development stage events based on product development timing
  • Support electrical product design and development and OEM automotive subsystems.
  • Act as Liaison Electrical Engineer and coordinate with MOBIS HQ and OEM for concept design thru final design requirements, including all design review / changes and feasibility reviews.
  • Work on site at MNA and also frequently offsite at OEM facilities.
  • Working knowledge of software development tools (debugger's, emulators, compilers, etc).
  • Working knowledge to performing component level EE validation testing per DVP&R, generating reports, and documenting /tracking issues
  • Analyze customer and internal requirements and specifications and translates these into software designs.



  • Pursuing a Engineering Degree – B.S.  in Computer, software or Electrical or Electronic Engineering preferred.
  • Working knowledge of engineering concepts  and principles.
  • Excellent communication skill in terms of collaborating with customers.
  • Excellent ability to identify and drive resolution to engineering problems
  • Ability to travel to manufacturing locations in the USA and global locations  


  • Work as intern  at tier 1 suppler or Big three
  • International joint work experience will be plus
