Description

The Administrative Assistant provides professional and confidential support to the Director and Assistant Director of the Department of Public Services Engineering Division. The Administrative Assistant will perform routine clerical and administrative functions, such as: drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, answering incoming calls and taking messages, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files and providing information to callers. Additionally, this employee will prepare freeze forms, requisitions, vouchers and invoices for processing and/or payment. This employee must be multi-tasker with excellent communication skills.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's Degree preferred.

Experience

  • Three (3) years of full-time, paid clerical experience, including but not limited to, data entry, database/spreadsheet applications, operating standard office equipment and related activities. Extensive JD Edwards experience preferred.
