Seasonal Laborers in the Parks Division assist maintenance personnel with custodial work; cleaning comfort stations, opening and closing of comfort stations, cleaning around picnic permit areas and litter picking. Employees working the day shift will be mowing, weed whipping and helping with special event setup. Other duties may include but are not limited to: service and clean equipment, baseball diamond maintenance, load and unload material, assist Tree Trimmers and other duties as assigned. Also Seasonal Laborers in the Parks Division may be assigned to the afternoon shift and/or swing shift. Employment opportunities for the seasonal program in this division are effective from May 1, 2017 thru September 30, 2017.
Seasonal Laborers in the Roads division will assist with annual pothole blitz and serve as traffic control personnel on our multiple constructions sites this spring and summer. These employees will fill personnel shortages in each District during our most labor intensive asphalt, concrete and spot surface seasonal operations. Other duties may include but are not limited to: flagging traffic, cold/hot patching, jack hammering, pick-up litter, junk/trash, carcasses; mowing grounds, landscape maintenance and other duties as assigned. Employment opportunities for the seasonal program in this division are effective from April 3, 2017 thru September 30, 2017.
