JOB DESCRIPTION

The Budget Analyst performs difficult technical and analytical work in the field of budget administration in the Budget Division of the Department of Management and Budget.  Under the direction of the Budget Director and with latitude for independent action in carrying out assignments, the Budget Analyst monitors and evaluates the financial operations of departments with large, complex budgets.

 

ELIGIBLE PERSONS

At the time of application, eligible persons must have:

 

A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university with a major in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Finance or a closely related degree as determined by the Department of Personnel/Human Resources; AND

Three (3) years of full-time paid financial analysis, budgeting and fiscal planning experience, of which one (1) year must be in the preparation of government budgets
