Service Workers perform routine, manual, custodial work in the upkeep of the Juvenile Detention Facility. Specific custodial activities in a prescribed area are assigned to the employees by a supervisor who checks the work in process and upon completion. Duties include sweeping, scrubbing, buffing, and waxing floors; cleaning rest room facilities; scrubbing walls and marble cornices, slabs and trimmings; and cleaning drinking fountains. Work is generally performed under the supervision of a Service Worker Supervisor.
NOTE: Applicants must be available to work all shifts and mandatory overtime, as needed.
