Administration of 401(k)/profit sharing plan including enrollment, contributions, distributions, education, compliance, testing/auditing.
Administration of cafeteria plan of benefits that includes, multiple medical options, dental, vision, long and short term disability and life insurance plans. Process all paperwork for enrollments and terminations, COBRA, reconciliation of invoices, compliance, ACA reporting, and employee education.
Administration of medical and dependent care spending accounts and HSA accounts..
Analyze the need to update or change benefit plan designs to remain competitive in the market, while gauging the financial impact to the company.
Maintain employee handbook.
Unemployment claim processing.
Research effectiveness of HR programs and propose improvement to policies, programs, and procedures to improve human resources effectiveness and operations.
Implement approved or revised HR policies.
Skills and Experience Required:
Bachelor's Degree, a PHR or SPHR certification is preferred or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of three years of experience in human resources generalist functions: benefits, payroll, and employment law.
Ability to work in an HR team of one supporting an office of 300 employees.
Must be proficient with MS Office and have the ability to run benefits, payroll and HR reports.
Ability to be self-directed and motivated to execute with minimal direction.
Must be extremely organized and able to manage multiple priorities.
