Project Engineer, Automotive Lamp

MOBIS North America, local branch of Hyundai MOBIS, core affiliate of Hyundai/Kia Motor Group, is looking for a candidate with an engineering degree who is eager to join a rapidly expanding automotive supplier.

Working for MOBIS North America (MNA) R&D group as Local Project Engineer for Lamp Engineering, the position has a wide scope across customer and company headquarters (HQ).  Travel within North America and Asia may be necessary.

 

Automotive Lamp Project Engineering

  • All aspects of product design and development, supporting electrical and electronic subsystems of automotive lamps.
  • From customer concept thru final requirements, review with customer and communication/coordination with MOBIS HQ.
  • Conduct feasibility reviews and communicate with Customer and MOBIS HQ all development engineering issues.
  • Control and support engineering data/documents delivery between customer and MOBIS HQ.
  • Support identification and resolution of Quality issues on Head/Tail Lamp between customer and MOBIS HQ.
  • Support customer development stage events based on product development timing such as Lit Mockup and Plywood Mockup sample build, DV/PV Test, EMC Test between Customer and MOBIS HQ.
  • Play an interactive role as a Liaison Engineer between Customer and MOBIS HQ.
  • Work onsite at MNA but also frequently offsite at customer facilities.
  • Perform benchmarking and technology trend survey on Automotive Lighting system for North American market.


Must have requirements

  • Engineering Degree.
  • Mechanical or Electronics engineering      background.
  • Automotive Engineering      experienced.
  • Self starter, motivated,      listening, communication, and problem solving skills.

 
Preferred Requirements

  • CAD system using skill (CATIA or U/G)
  • Fluent in Korean and English languages (bi-lingual)
  • International experience
  • Customer Resident/Guest Engineering Experience
