The Department Manager 2 monitors compliance of contracting agencies delivering juvenile services, compiles data for the annual Juvenile Justice Outcome report, completes monthly metric reports, participates in monthly juvenile justice program meetings, assists with reconciling monthly invoices from contractors, and assists with conducting audits on contractor's providing services.

  • Required Tasks
    • Assess contractor's fulfillment of defined scope of contractual services and compliance with JYS policy and procedures.
    • Conduct annual and quarterly case file and Juvenile Agency Information Systems (JAIS) audits of contractors.
    • Assist in the development of annual performance objectives and outcomes for service providers.
    • Assist in development of methods for program reviews and ongoing monitoring of service delivery.
    • Conduct annual program audits to assess compliance with contract requirements and specifications for the delivery of juvenile justice and prevention services systems.
    • Utilize JAIS to collect performance and outcome data on prevention grant providers.
    • Provide consultation and technical assistance to prevention contractors in matters related to contract compliance, procedure, and program modification.
    • Review and reconcile monthly invoices from the JAC and other providers.
    • Attend contractor program planning meetings on a monthly basis or as scheduled.
    • Complete monthly metric reports.
    • Perform all other related duties.
  • Education/Experience Requirements
    • A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized college or university with a major in Social Work, Social Welfare, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Human Ecology, Sociology, Family and Child Development, Guidance and Counseling, or Public Administration or Education
    • At least four (4) years of full-time paid experience as a social service worker, which must include conducting fiscal/financial reviews, case file and JAIS audits, and reconciling and processing monthly expenditure reports
