The Wayne County Department of Information Technology (DoIT) offers a unique experience for a highly motivated, self-directed IT intern with a passion for technology. The intern will actively contribute to meaningful projects and experience business culture through work assignments and structured activities. The intern will be able to enhance their computer skills and learn new systems and software while having the opportunity to share knowledge gained from recent courses.

Intern Duties and Responsibilities

• Support IT teams in maintaining hardware and software applications
• Rotate through various IT divisions shadowing and working with knowledgeable IT professionals
• Organize and maintain IT resources

Requirements

• Currently enroll in college.
• Computer Science, Information Technology or Management Information Systems major
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and well in a team environment
• Excellent research and problem solving skills
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
