JOB SUMMARY
The Department of Health, Human, and Veterans Services (HHVS), housed within the County Executive Office, is comprised of the Director's Office and six operational divisions: Public Health, Clinical Care Services, Access to Care (Health Choice), Medical Examiner's Office, Transition Services, and Veterans Services. The mission of HHVS is to promote health and well-being for all Wayne County residents through programs, policies, and partnerships that address gaps in access and opportunity across the lifespan.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education Requirements
Level I: High school students with an interest in public health, healthcare, policy, law, social work, or a related field.
Level II: Current community college or university student, interested in public health, healthcare, policy, law, social work, or a related field.
Level III: Current master's student in public health, health administration, policy, or health sciences.
Experience and Skills (All Levels)
Familiarity with or interest in public health, healthcare, health administration, policy, law, social work, or related fields.
Strong interest in health and human services and a desire to make a positive community impact.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic familiarity with data analysis tools.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn, adaptable, and open to taking on new challenges.
