DESCRIPTION OF MAJOR JOB DUTIES

The Cash Accounting Manager is responsible for the daily cash activity and polling, posting, and reconciliation and correcting entries for investment transactions and the verification of the deposit activity within Wayne County's cash and investment accounts. The Cash Accounting Manager coordinates the cash reporting operation among the Cash Accounting staff and provides training, education, and feedback regarding daily functions within the unit. This position will also prepare vouchers and journal entries, assist with special reports and assist the Supervisor of Cash Management with the overall operation of the Cash Accounting. This position reports to the Supervisor of Cash Management-Cash Accounting and will interact with other departments in Wayne County as necessary.

ELIGIBLE PERSONS

At the time of application, eligible persons must have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; AND

• At least 4 years of accounting experience, one of which must be in a leadership role.
